Cat Modelling and Pricing Analyst (f/m)
• Mission
With us you will analyse and assess potential impacts of natural catastrophes using internal and third-party models. You will use cat models and actuarial methods to analyse and price cat-exposed reinsurance contracts. Further responsibilities include the support of monitoring and reporting of cat aggregates as well as assisting underwriters in presenting and discussing various aspects of natural catastrophes with clients. Together with the Nat Cat team you will be involved in developing and enhancing methods and systems for cat risk exposure analyses and accumulation control and will actively contribute to our understanding of natural phenomena.
• Profil
You have a masters degree or in natural science or mathematics and/or evidence of significant interest in science associated with catastrophe modelling. Ideally you have worked for about 3 years at a reinsurance broker or reinsurer as catastrophe modeller and have experience interrogating catastrophe models, and/or developing pricing methodologies. You have experience using catastrophe models, RMS, AIR CATRADER and EQE and also an understanding of components and responses of catastrophe models. You combine strong analytical, data management and communication skills and have a good sense for the reinsurance business. GIS and VBA skills are an advantage. Initiative, creativity, flexibility and the desire to work in a small team in an international environment are additional requirements. Furthermore you are proficient in English, German and French are a plus. This position is based in Zurich. Numerical Programmer (m/f) 100%
• Mission
With us you will create and perform challenging numerical optimizations, implement Monte Carlo simulations for our financial modeling and other entities of our organization and write the corresponding documentation. You will support our users on quantitative statistical, numerical, financial or actuarial risk management and modeling methods and will develop, improve and enhance the existing numerical libraries. Furthermore you are responsible for the maintenance of the full lifecycle of business critical systems and you will improve risk measurement methods and implementation processes within our IT landscape. In this function you will work in a small international team, support the Head of Developments & Numerical Programming and liaise closely with members of the Financial Modeling, Risk Management and Pricing department. In addition, you will participate in interdisciplinary projects including mathematical modeling, data modeling and IT design.
• Profil
You have an advanced degree in software engineering and in a mathematical or numerical discipline plus professional programming skills in numerical programming using C#, preferably with experience in the area of financial modeling or other numerical simulation techniques. Java programming skills are a plus. Furthermore you have thorough knowledge of agile software development practices, modern software architecture and test driven development and you are able to handle large amounts of data from various sources efficiently and accurately. Knowledge in advanced financial modeling methodologies and risk management complete your profile. Your English is excellent, German or French is a plus. This position is based in Zurich and requires excellent analytical capabilities and the ability to build strong relationships across different departments. The Senior Underwriter contributes to the Underwriting and Market activities within the team Cologne II (Nordic Markets/Europe). DEPARTMENT:
Cologne II is the Marketing and Underwriting Unit responsible for the Nordic Countries within SCOR GLOBAL P&C. The main focus of the team is to further strengthen our position in this market area to develop ourselves into a leading reinsurer and to develop and propose our reinsurance solutions and services to the markets. RESPONSIBILITIES / MAIN JOB DUTIES:

SKILLS / PROFILE :
