The Actuarial team of the Market Unit 1, in communication with local offices (Asia, Belgium, Spain, and Italy), coordinates pricing and the development of new reinsurance products. It is also in charge of evaluating reserves, reviewing methods of account estimations, calculating balance sheet elements, and calculating the Embedded Value of the perimeter. Responsibilities
In association with the Actuary Manager MU1 you would be in charge of the following : - Participate in calculations of Embedded-Value in collaboration with other entities of the group. - Carry-out actuarial monitoring of our reinsurance treaties and portfolios (profit studies, follow-up and validation of technical provisions) in coordination with other teams. - Develop the essential tools needed to establish portfolio models and their actuarial monitoring. - Calculate, analyze, and explain balance sheet actuarial elements of SCOR Global Life SE (provisions, intangible assets). - Provide support to pricing teams of various markets. Fix prices concerning non-traditional reinsurance deals in collaboration with the Central Actuarial Department. - Participate in updating local market guidelines.

Medical adviser

To make use of your medical expertise in the definition of the selection and pricing of risks related to insurance of persons, to their daily use by medical underwriters and their evaluation for the clients of SCOR. The Risk Selection and Claims Department is comprised of 20 people and is in charge of: - Ensuring the global treatment of selection and claims files sent by the cedants (insurance companies, brokers, mutual insurance companies, banks as insurers…) within short timeframes, - Organizing the setting-up of products with regard to selections, relations and circuits with cedants, and monitoring the application, - Co-ordinating and technical assistance at the MU1 level. Within our subsidiary SCOR Reinsurance based in Singapore, an assignment as a Volunteer in International Enterprises is to be provided for 12 months from December 1st, 2009 to November 30th, 2009, renewable for another year. MISSION Under the responsibility of the manager of P&C Actuarial Pricing in Singapore, the candidate will be in charge of the methods and accumulations follow-up concerning natural catastrophes in Asia-Pacific region, and will price reinsurance contracts underwritten in the Singapore hub, including treaties as well as facultatives (large corporate risks). He/She will in addition be involved in the evaluation of the risks and the pricing of non-life businesses by explaining and arguing the technical options to the underwriters, and will be the contact in Asia-Pacific region for the global monitoring of Scor’s exposures worldwide. DEPARTEMENT Risk modelling & Global Natural Hazards unit is one of the central transverse function of Global P&C. It provides consistent natural catastrophe risk analyzes and pricing support through state-of-the-art modelling platforms and systems. The unit delivers timely and reliable data for SCOR Global P&C to effectively manage its risk exposures and accumulations. RESPONSABILITIES Cat Modeller/Actuary : Cat Modelling and Pricing Ensure consistency and cat risk assessment best practices through exposure and pricing analyses.
