A worldwide network based in 27 different locations, including:
- 4 hubs for the EMEA zone: Cologne, London, Paris, Zurich
- 1 hub for the Americas: New York
- 1 hub for Asia-Pacific: Singapore
In order to ensure the consistency of its operations across the network, SCOR Global P&C has defined seven central functions that make up the cornerstone of its business model. These functions create a cohesive approach to decision-making, facilitate the organisation and exploitation of synergies between the different lines of business and contribute both to active cycle management and Enterprise Risk Management :
• Actuariat Pricing: Occupying a key position in the decision-making process, actuarial services are part of SCOR Global P&C’s client-orientated vision. The highly experienced professionals of the Actuarial Pricing unit work closely with the underwriters in order to propose suitable solutions to our clients.
• Administration & Finance: Responsible for the management of the budget and the results, this unit consolidates and monitors operations, guaranteeing the consistency of technical accounting practices throughout the organisation.
• Claims & Commutations: This team, which assists the operational business units, manages complex claims and runs a dynamic commutations policy for assumed and retroceded portfolios.
• Risk Management: Risk management lies at the heart of our decision-making process. This cross-sector unit identifies critical exposures, quantifying their risk probability and impact and implementing supervisory procedures. The unit is critical in order to ensure the viability and continuity of our commercial relationships over the long term.
• Risk Modelling and Natural Catastrophes: On the basis of global natural catastrophe analyses and estimations, conducted using highly efficient modelling systems, this team ensures that exposures and accumulated risks are properly monitored and dynamically managed.
• Strategy & Development: This team acts as an interface between our business operations and the SCOR group’s support units. It is responsible for operational marketing, strategic planning, the monitoring and reporting of business activity and market research and analysis. These services enhance the visibility of SCOR Global P&C and ensure that technical know-how is transferred to our clients, thereby helping to develop our business relationships.
• Underwriting Management: The Underwriting Management team acts as an interface between SCOR Global P&C’s Risk Management department and that of the SCOR group. This team helps to draw up the underwriting policy, thereby facilitating an intra-disciplinary approach between underwriters, actuaries, modellers and practice leaders. It provides the basis for a consistent and coherent approach to the underwriting process, promoting the exchange of our global experience and know-how both internally and with our clients.
