SCOR's internship program offers highly motivated actuarial students hands-on corporate reinsurance experience. From day one that you join the organization, you will be a part of a working team. Your manager and mentor will be there to guide you along the learning curve and expose you to many parts of the organization and industry. You will be an active part of various projects and highly encouraged to participate in meetings and company events. At the end of the internship, you will have the opportunity to present your projects and work to senior leadership. Our summer internships are paid and consist of working 40 hours a week. Interns also participate in Intern Appreciation Days and are provided other activities throughout the summer.

Key duties and responsibilities

Interns will be placed in various departments: Pricing, Inforce Management, Financial Solutions, US Reserving, or Group Health

Key duties and responsibilities include:
• Assisting teams with database maintenance and analysis
• Developing or improving different processes within departments
• Analyzing, developing, and validating statistical models and data
• Updating pricing, valuation, and forecasting models
• Producing projections under various risk scenarios
• Preparing and presenting final presentation to senior leadership

Required experience and Education

• Pursuing four year degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics
• Sitting for or passed at least one exam through the Society of Actuaries
• Solid analytical skills with strong problem solving ability
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Highly motivated/self-starter
• Must be able to work effectively independently & as part of a team
• Proficiency in windows-based software (Excel, Access, etc.)
• Desire to learn about and be a part of a global team
