The Chief Technical Officer (CTO) works together with the CUOs and is in charge of actuarial studies, technical transversal topics in coordination with the other support entities (Underwriting Management, Natural Catastrophes, Retrocession), some analysis and data management, some development and some application of tools supporting underwriting activity and especially ForeWriter (the underwriting platform).

About the team

The Business Solutions Division of SCOR Global P&C, dedicated to Large Corporate Risks, is structured through 3 areas: Energy & Natural Resources (worldwide vision), Construction & Specialties (worldwide vision), and Corporate Property & Casualty (split in Asia, EMEA, Americas). Each area / region is directed by a CUO (Chief Underwriting Officer) / Underwriting Director.
The range of risks underwritten includes large projects of infrastructure (highway, dam, subway, railway, etc) and industrial areas (in energy, gas, mines, heavy industry, etc) worldwide.

Key duties and responsibilities

Reporting to the Data Manager within the Technical Direction of Business Solutions, you will work on the ForeWriter platform and SBS underwriting data and will especially be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the underwriting platform use worldwide
  • Enabling the continuous upgrading of the platform and managing its evolution (needs collection, communication with IT, testing, and change management)
  • Providing to operational teams the support needed by facilitating data access and providing assistance to users
  • Enabling data analysis and interpretation to SBS Managers in order to manage commercial and technical performances of Business Solutions
  • Ensuring data quality

Required experience and Education


You have an Engineering education or a Master degree in Statistics / Big data / Datamining


You have a minimum of 5-7 years experience as Business Analyst (AMOA) in a consulting firm and / or in the insurance industry with an international dimension

Personal Competencies

Thanks to your experience, you have a good knowledge in data management, exploitation, and interpretation, in the process modelling and in the process documentation

Soft skills

Your synthetic and analysis skills enable you provide a good quality restitution. You are dynamic, curious, autonomous and proactive. Precise and creative, you are keen to conceive methodologic approaches until their implementation. You have strong communication skills and are familiar with an environment with lots of interactions. You are a good team player and are customer oriented
