SCOR is seeking a qualified Treasury professional to serve as Head Treasury for its European Hub, aiming at supporting the Group Treasurer and Divisions on Cash Management, FX hedging, Cash Flows Forecasts, Counterparty risk, closing and reporting activities, global projects (TRACE, EMIR…) as well as managing and developing a team of 4 people.

Key duties and responsibilities

Organize Treasury activities along the following key tasks for all entities in scope of the Hub:

Management of cash transactions

  • Ensure good execution of payments (disbursement/collection, technical and non-technical) as well as Financial trades (FX and IR deals, internal and external loans, bank to bank transfers…): validation, confirmation, signature, processing, recording…
  • Ensure timely execution of daily treasury reconciliation and control of bank account cash position
  • Organize the daily recording of bank statements (electronic or not), ensure interfaces are effective
  • Organize the opening / closing of bank accounts with the banks and into systems
  • Provide back office/administrative support to Group Treasury/Divisions (P&C, Life, Reaslestate, Private Equity…) activities and transactions
  • Organize the update of the bank signatory lists, ensure compliance with Group Signing Policy
  • Work closely with banks to ensure good execution and reporting of payments and transactions

 

Management of cash positions and forecasts:

  • Organize the preparation, reconciliation and analysis of daily cash positions
  • Analyse European Cash Pool positions and provide daily/weekly forecasts and liquidity proposals to Group Treasury
  • Provide visibility to Group treasury on cash positions and forecasts to maintain and manage optimal operating cash level at the European level
  • Coordinate with entities in scope to limit cash level and anticipate liquidity needs
  • Maintain and optimize European cash pool structure (add and remove accounts, increase ZBA…)
  • Support Divisions and Finance teams in the 12 months cash flow planning (provide Financial trades maturities…)
  • Provide Group Treasury with monthly cash flows forecasts and analysis versus actuals
  • Identify liquidity needs and investigate solutions with Group Treasury (treasury advances & intra-group loans)
  • Maintain a tight relationship with banks, negotiate services, and control costs/interests
  • Control banking counterparty exposure, risks and limits
  • Responsible for supervision/advice of short term investments for entities in scope

 

Ensure efficient FX rate risks hedging

  • Organize quarterly congruency review and analysis with Entities, Divisions and Accounting teams
  • Define FX hedges adjustments to be executed jointly with Group Treasury
  • Ensure proper confirmation, settlement, accounting and valuation of hedges
  • Run risk and volatility analysis, estimate collateral and margin calls requirements
  • Implement regulatory requirements associated to the OTC derivatives (EMIR…)

 

Project Management

  • Participate to Group projects: TRACE (front to back to accounting Treasury information systems across all entities of the Group), EMIR (phase 2: collateralization of derivatives)…
  • Ensure TRACE ICS processes and controls are rolled into the Hub, documented and executed
  • Propose changes, improvements and optimization of Treasury activities and organization

 

Reporting and Communication

  • Contribute to Group Treasury various reportings (daily/weekly reports, Cash Council presentation, COMEX presentation, Liquid Free Assets reports, 12 months cash flows forecasts, analysis of actuals versus forecasts, outstanding loans and treasury advances, FX trades …)
  • Ensure accounting/finance teams have necessary information for closing activities
  • Improve format and production of reporting to adapt to management needs and expectations
  • Organize calls and meetings with Group Treasury and / or entities to provide them with information, support, advice, proposals, recommendations…
  • Contribute to the Regulatory reporting requirements and Liquidity risks analysis (eg: FINMA, Banque de France, Solvency II Pilar 3, ComFrame, ORSA …)

 

Team management

  • Train/mentor the team, develop roles and responsibilities regarding cash management, cash flows forecasts, FX analysis…
  • Organize team activities, define priorities, supervise, control and evaluate deliverables
  • Implement change management, identify processes which can be improved…
  • Set individual performance and development objectives; support employees in reaching them and review their performance
  • Document processes and key controls, ensure new team members have access to user guides and procedures
  • Ensure tools and processes are known and properly used or applied by team members and entities in scope

Required experience and Education

Experience:

  • 8 years minimum of experience in Treasury, Finance, Cash Management, Risks, or Funding.
  • Preferred: Industry knowledge of reinsurance business, experience working in global business environment.

Digital Competencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office mainly Excel and Powerpoint
  • Preferred: SAP user experience for FI, TRM; BCM
  • Treasury IT tools including banking communication implementation project

 

Managerial competencies:

  • Experience in managing a team with various profiles
  • Able to build a team spirit among team members

 

Required Education

  • Graduate of master’s or higher (Bac+5) in finance with treasury specialization
