Key duties and responsibilities

  • Contribution to the Actuarial Function Report (AFR)
    • Review of material assumptions/models and
    • year-on-year changes in the Technical Provisons including the review of regional contributions to Solvency 2 Technical Provision results 
  • Support review of overall adequacy of Life Technical Provisions coordinating the Group wide process and reviewing specific regional contributions
  • Develop the AFR process, including maintenance of the internal system of controls documentation
  • Oversee quarterly production of Life Technical Provisions
  • Provide analyses to Group Chief Actuary / Senior Management on the quarterly Technical Provisions, including production of or contribution to actuarial reserving memos

Required experience and Education

  • University degree/Master degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Economics with the main focus on actuarial science
  • Preferably membership in actuarial association/qualified as an actuary or equivalency from a recognized organization
  • At least 3-5 years specific work experience in (re)insurance with a focus on life valuation issues (Solvency 2, MCEV, US GAAP or similar)
  • Modeling background (Prophet or similar) a plus
  • Strong command of MS Office tools
  • Advanced analytical and conceptual skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Very good knowledge of English
