The Legal Counsel & Contracts Manager generally supports the Corporate Finance legal function at Group level and is, in particular, in charge of the negotiation, follow-up and management of legal risks arising from the non-technical contracts entered into by the Group and EMEA Hub .

Missions et responsabilités
The Legal Counsel & Contracts Manager reports to the Group Head of Legal Corporate Finance. He/she is primarily in charge at Group level of: • negotiation, follow-up and management of legal risks arising from the Group and EMEA Hub non-technical contracts (e.g. suppliers and I.T. contracts, service agreements, contractual support for strategic projects, group facilities, outsourcing agreements…); • the monitoring of the Group contracts management software (trainings, access, up-date, monitoring to ensure global consistency and accuracy in coordination with Hubs legal counsels…); • follow up, monitoring and defence of Group trademarks portfolio and negotiation/follow-up of related agreements; • pre-litigation management re. contracts breaches / early termination when necessary; • follow-up of litigations; • development of knowledge management/education on the topics mentioned above. He/she also participates in and generally supports, as needed, the subject matters addressed to the Corporate Finance Legal affairs team and, notably, as per: • mergers and acquisitions and other structuring projects; • legal support to be provided to the Corporate Secretariat in relation with the topics listed above. He/she is, in the Corporate Finance Legal affairs team, the dedicated contact for Group IT Department, Group Project Office, General Services and non-reinsurance subsidiaries. He/she works closely with the legal teams, based in New York, London, Singapore and Zurich when their involvement is required.
Expérience requise et Formation
• At least 5 + years of experience in the legal department of an international company (preferably from the finance or (re)insurance sectors) or in an international Law firm. • Experience of international and complex working environments. • Broad based legal training across a global range of issues involving, contract law, commercial law, ,I.P./I.T law and litigation. • Pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach in dealing with business partners. • Team orientation and collaborative working style. • Strong communication style. • Ability to set priorities, align resources and manage workload to meet deadlines. • Flexibilty/adaptibility
• Appropriate legal qualifications from a French law school.
• Bar qualification (CAPA) would be an asset but is not a must.
• Fluent in English and French.
