SCOR Global Life evolves its organisation to deliver on the “Quantum Leap” strategic plan and build for impact
In order to achieve the objectives of the “Quantum Leap” strategic plan, SCOR Global Life evolves its organisation and announces promotions in its Global Markets team.
- Craig Ford is promoted to Head of Global Markets - North America, UK/Ireland & South Africa and ANZ. He will report to Brona Magee, Deputy CEO, SCOR Global Life
- Roy Chappell is promoted to Chief Commercial Officer - North America, UK/Ireland & South Africa and ANZ. He will report to Craig Ford.
- Vincent Lepez is promoted to Head of Global Markets – Asia, Continental Europe and Latin America. He will report to Brona Magee.
- Miguel Alferieff is promoted to Chief Commercial Officer, Asia Continental Europe and Latin America. He will report to Vincent Lepez.
- Rupen Shah is promoted to Head of Longevity and Financial Solutions. He will report to Brona Magee.

Craig Ford, a dual UK and Australian citizen, holds a Bachelor degree in Economics and Accounting from the University of Bristol in the UK and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. Craig joined SCOR in 2010 as the Chief Executive Officer of SCOR Global Life Australia, became the Deputy Chief Executive Officer for the Asia-Pacific region in 2014 before being promoted to Chief Executive Officer for SCOR Global Life Asia Pacific in 2016. He is now promoted to the role of Head of Global Markets, North America, UK/Ireland, South Africa, and Australia/New Zealand.
Roy Chappell, a British citizen, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Sussex. Roy started his career at Colonial Mutual as a Life Product and Marketing Manager. He joined SCOR in 2000 as Business Development Manager for the U.K. and Irish markets and became CEO of the SCOR Global Life U.K. branch in 2010, before becoming Head of Northern Europe and South Africa in 2014. In 2017, he became Deputy CEO of EMEA for SCOR Global Life. Based in London, Roy has now been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer for Global Markets - North America, UK/Ireland, South Africa and ANZ.
Vincent Lepez, a French citizen, holds a PhD in Mathematical Statistics and “Aggregation” in Mathematics. He is a fully qualified member of the French Institute of Actuaries. Vincent joined SCOR in 2012 and has been the Global Chief Pricing Actuary for SCOR Global Life since December 2014. In 2017, Vincent became Deputy CEO Asia Pacific for SCOR Global Life. Vincent is now promoted Head of Global Markets – Asia, Continental Europe and Latin America.
Miguel Alferieff, a Spanish Citizen, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University CEU San Pablo of Madrid, MBA from CHEA ENASS and MBA from IESE Business School. Miguel started his career at SCOR Global Life in 1992 and has held various market and business responsibilities. After leading the Life reinsurance activities for Iberia from 2007 to 2011, he became SCOR Global Life Head of Southern Europe and Middle East in 2011, and Deputy CEO of EMEA region (Europe, Middle East & Africa) in 2014. In 2017 he was appointed CEO of EMEA and became responsible for all Life & Health Reinsurance Solutions in the region. He is now promoted to Chief Commercial Officer, Asia Continental Europe and Latin America.
Rupen Shah, a UK citizen, holds a Masters Degree in Mathematics from Oxford University and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK. Rupen joined SCOR in 2009 as Head of UK Longevity and was promoted to Global Head of Longevity in 2014. He is now promoted to Global Head of Longevity and Financial solutions for SCOR Global Life.
