Doris Azarcon

Assistant Vice President, Actuary - Risk Management

Doris currently heads the global pandemic calibration working group at SCOR Group with particular focus on its use in the Solvency II internal model. She joined the company in 2004 as a pricing actuary and has taken increasing roles in economic capital modeling, risk management, Solvency II, and business acceptance.

As a member of the SCOR Life global underwriting risk management team, Doris is also involved in business acceptance functions. Prior to joining SCOR, Doris worked in financial reinsurance modeling, pricing and risk assessment.

Doris is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. She has written several articles on pandemic risk and modeling. She earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of the Philippines and her master’s degree in applied mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
