For the past few years, the Life & Health Business Unit has been seriously looking towards the future of the Life insurance industry. The Business Unit leaders and expert teams began this process with an initial reflection on key questions such as “Why are we in this business”? and “What is our purpose”? Through personal introspection and exploration, a simple, yet powerful message unfolded: “Because life is precious, we value life”.
Today, “life is precious, we value life” has become our core purpose, not only transforming our business strategies and relationships with clients, but also positively impacting the lives of our many employees around the world, who are proud to be a part of an organization committed to making a meaningful difference to millions of lives through Life & Health insurance.

SCOR’s Executive Committee reacted very quickly and called upon organizations and individuals to take immediate action to slow down the spread of COVID-19.
“Quantum Leap”: our strategic plan
The “Quantum Leap” strategic plan was presented to investors in September 2019. For SCOR Global Life, the plan is built around four pillars.
To maximize our global relevance, SCOR Global Life will focus resources on markets and initiatives where we can have the greatest impact. We will innovate to address protection gaps and create long-lasting value for ourselves, our clients and the end consumer.
