2019 Risk Radar, a CRO Forum Publication

The Risk Radar, published annually since 2005 by the CRO Forum’s Emerging Risks Initiative, classifies each risk by its nature, determining its time horizon and its expected impact.

Analyzing new risks and their impacts is at the heart of (re)insurer’s activity. To support this task, the CRO Forum’s Emerging Risks Initiative has been publishing an updated Risk Radar annually since 2005.

This Risk Radar classifies each risk by its nature, determining its time horizon (significant impacts already seen in insurance claims, first significant impacts expected within 1 – 5 years, first significant impacts expected within 5 – 10 years), and its expected impact (small, medium or high). The risks analysed range from technological to geopolitical change, and from social to health evolution.
