The Role of Trust in Insurance Demand and Data Sharing with Life & Health Insurers

Trust is a cornerstone of the insurer-policyholder relationship. Policyholders must believe that their insurer will honor its commitments when a loss occurs, while insurers rely on honest disclosure from their clients.

This study draws on the SCOR Global Consumer Study 2023-2024 (covering 12,563 respondents across 22 markets) to provide a comprehensive international assessment of the extent to which consumers trust life and health insurers, what drives that trust, and how it shapes both insurance demand and willingness to share personal data.
