Protecting our employees, business partners, and communities

Dear Clients and Partners,

Protecting people and assets is at the core of SCOR’s mission, and that begins with ensuring the health and well-being of our employees, their families, our business partners and our global communities. The rapid spread of COVID-19 has and will continue to pose a challenge to global economies and social resiliency, and SCOR has undertaken measures to ensure that our teams are safe and that our clients have the advisory, tools, and resources required to operate in this environment.

We have acted swiftly to implement our Business Continuity Plan that is adapted to each country and region based on the evolving situation. To date, none of our employees have tested positive for COVID-19; our teams are fully functioning and well-supported.

We have taken the following preventative measures to ensure that employees stay safe and that our business remains operational:

  • Remote working successfully implemented: Employees based at our offices in Europe and the Americas have been asked to work from home during this time. In APAC, we continue to follow government advice, and are adjusting our remote working solutions in light of local developments. We are actively monitoring the situation and adapting our actions accordingly.
  • Travel restrictions: All business trips requiring international travel or domestic air travel have been cancelled until the end of April.
  • Meeting restrictions: Employees are required to avoid large meetings, conferences and seminars until the end of April, with contingency plans for May and June. We are replacing in-person meetings with videoconferencing and Skype. Our internal and client events have also been cancelled for this period.
  • And ramped-up hygiene measures in our offices.

Prior to the remote working solution being fully implemented, we had tested our global IT systems – with success – to ensure that any impact from this work-from-home period on our teams and clients would be avoided or minimized. Our networks are fully functional and our processes – both manual and automatic – are being continuously monitored.

For 50 years, SCOR has helped its clients withstand this constantly changing risk universe – from natural disasters, to economic crises, to global outbreaks. Our teams remain fully committed to serving our clients around the world and to contributing to the welfare and resilience of society.

We look forward to maintaining our strong relationships with our clients and partners while keeping our teams, families, business partners and communities safe.
